What is romance?
In it's simpliest form, romance is a creative way of expressing your love. It is based on thoughtfulness, giving, and caring. Romance is love in action.

* Write a "report card" for your sweetheart. List personal qualities and attributes for the "subjects" and give them an A+ on each! You may wish to add "additonal comments" or request a meeting to further discuss the report.
* Purchase a cheap shower curtain or shower curtain liner and a permanent marker. Design a special shower curtain to greet your partner in the morning! It might be a good morning love message, a passage of poerty, a comic, the outline of your hands, large hearts, or a special drawing. Replace the regular shower curtain at night with your custom shower curtain so first thing in the morning it will bring a smile of surprise for your sweetie.
*Change the scrolling message on your partner's screen saver to a personal love message from you!
* Send a written invitation to do something special. Include location, time, and date. You may wish to request certain attire if needed. It could be an invitation to dinner, a special moonlight stroll, or even just a back massage. Having the invitiation delivered (especially if it is delivered at work) bilds anticipation and excitment, and makes the moment that much more romantic.

* Write a love letter or poem. Purchase a iron-on t-shirt transfer and have it ironed onto a pillowcase or flat sheet. This is a sure fire way to ensure seet dreams!
* Laminate a love note or poem and leave it in the bathtub!
* Make a recording of you reciting a love poem or song and present it as a gift, or have it in their car so that when the car start up in the morning the recording automatically comes on.
* Use children's magnetic alpabet letters and leave a love message on the fridge.

* Buy a trophy and have it engraved with "Best kisser" or "Best husband/wife"
* Create "THE STORY OF US". Choose a writing theme, it may be a children's story, fairy tale, romance novel, or a mystery. Use pictures of yourselves (which you may want to modify to fit the story). Then take it to an office supply store and have it bound. You may want to laminate the front and back covers. It's a romantic gift they will never forget! It may even be a story you read to your children and grandchildren!

* Send your loved one a life size hug! Buy a blanket or sheet and lay it flat on the florr. Lay down on it with your arms out horizonataly, and have a friend trace your body outline. You may want to add permanant marker of paint along the line to ensure it will last. If possible you may want to get a picture of your face and using a t-shirt transfer paper iron it on to where your head in on the outline. send a card that says "So you can always be wrapped in my arms, even while we're apart"
* Is the new year approaching? Create a personalized calander! Include photos of the two of you, mark down dates to remember such as your anniversary and other special occasions. You may wish to add something you love about your partner on each month of the year. Give the gift with a card that says " I love you 24/7/365."
* Have a picture of the two of you turned into a puzzle. Take out the pice where your heart would be. Wrap the piece seperatly in a small box. Give your loved one the puzzle first (with a piece missing) and then give a note with the other pice that says "Becasue you will always carry my heart"
* Declare your love or poetic phrase for all to see in the local paper. "Happy ad's" are a great way to surprise your loved one with your decloration of love or special message. Have a paper delivered to your partner at work as a nice added touch.
* What is the recipe for romance? It all starts with love! Buy a recipe card box and create a personalized label for it which says: "(Name) Today I love you because..." on each card write down a different reason why you love them. You might start with a few cards in the box and over the course of the month (or the year) leave a card a day in unsuspecting places such as inside the fridge, on the steering wheel of their car, inside their shoe, in their pocket and so on. They can add it to their box add the end of each day!
* Visit the pet store and buy a small fish bowl starter kit. Bowl, gravel, fish food, single fish, and an aquatic plant. Attach a note that says "You may not be the only fish in the sea, but you are the only fish for me" Hand deliver it to your loved one, or leave it in an unsuspecting area for them to discover. An alternative to this is to fill a fish bowl with fish shaped crackers and attach a similar note "You're the best catch"
